Art Crawl 2007

A decade ago, Billy Shire's brainchild 'Art Crawl' included his gallery La Luz de Jesus as well as other Eastside venues in an effort to organize and capitalize on our artistic community's potential. Since then, the Crawl has mutated and expanded throughout the neighborhoods of Echo Park, Los Feliz, and Silverlake. For the first time this year, the Crawl includes several Atwater Village galleries, for they fit very well into our community of exhibition spaces and sensibilities.

"Over the River and Through the Woods" Artist Reception

LittleBird Gallery proudly opens "Over the River and Through the Woods," an exhibition of drawings and installation by San Francisco artist Lisa Solomon. Described as a visual connection of our intimate domestic experiences with larger communal urban spaces, Solomon's first Southland show will be comprised of her intricate embroidered drawings as well as a gallery-wide installation of hand-made and painted doilies.
