Carter Goodrich

The illustrations of Carter Goodrich have been featured in the world's most recognized publications. A two-time recipient of The Society of Illustrator's Gold Medal, Goodrich has seen his work appear on the cover of The New Yorker fourteen times. Time, Newsweek, GQ, Playboy, Atlantic Monthly and Connoisseur are just a few of the publications that have featured his work since his start as a freelance illustrator in 1983. Carter also works as a Character Designer for some of top animation studios, Pixar, Dreamworks and Sony to name a few. Some film credits as contributing character designer include Sinbad, Finding Nemo, Spirit, Monsters, Inc., Shrek and the Prince of Egypt.

Having provided the illustrations for two books, Nutcracker (1987) and A Christmas Carol (1997), Goodrich has turned his attention and talents to story. His first project as both author and illustrator will be a children's book titled A Creature Was Stirring, published by Simon & Schuster, out now.

Goodrich is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design.
